Stripe tease: Don't ya want it?

Incase you haven't noticed, stripes are sooo in this season. But no one else has captured the essence of the to new trend, and made it their own like the master himself, Hubert de Givenchy. Givenchy has done it again, mesmerizing fashion lovers with his undeniable eye for style. This jacket took my breath away the moment I saw it, and striped teased me into wanting to have it. So, it goes without saying, that Givenchy's striped jacket is definitely a MUST HAVE this season. This jacket is bold, and says "I'm larger than life," so wear and peer it with confidence."

Sail away with style: Fashion takes it horizontal, and goes nautical

Fashion steals my heart away again, and pushes it to the edge of the horizon, while trends sail away with style. The new nautical look gives us grown up girls a lot room to play dress up, as if we weren't having enough fun. Fashion gives us a away to push horizontal to the next level, with a salute to red, white, and blue. While dressed for the life of a sailor, I can't help but wonder, "what journeys will fashion take us on next?"

Red Eyes

The new year will unveil a runway of 10's. For the past few season I've seen joyful yellows, and romantic purples, but next year, we'll all be seeing ladies in red. Red is back to be the new black, and it's already strutting its way to center stage. The Vogue editorial "Into the Woods" says it all...So go out and buy some red with your green, for the new decade is growing a garden full of red roses.

Back to the future: Fashion breaks cultural barriers.

There have been much controversy over the new fashion trend from the 80‘s ,“hammer pants.” I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about the unoriginal style trends in fashion, and while that can be true, I believe that the new trend isn’t a blast from the past, but a leap into the future.




The new trousers trend is actually called harem pants. You know those pants that Jasmine wore in Aladdin, that same pants worn by belly dancers, they are the “it” pants of the season , pants worn by Bollywood stars… and it is rocking the runway both in Indian, and in western-fashion shows.




It’s about to be a new decade since the new millennium began, and it’s time we see a marriage between western and non-western dress styles. I am very proud to see the harem pants gaining such popularity in western culture, leading the way for other non-western styles to rock the runway in spring 2010. Kicking of a new decade of style---Where in the future, instead of looking to the past for trends, we simply look into the culture next door, or 3 doors down for inspiration. Creating the fashion hybrid that the world has been waiting for.


I spoke about my own frustration with fashion looking to past, and how Eurocentric fashion is, and has been for centuries. I spoke about my love for “Bollywood chic” and how I’ve been waiting to see it’s day come. But who would have thought their day would be here this soon. Hindi/ bollywood fashion is rapidly arriving. With fashion, who knows if it’s here to stay, but I do hope that seeing a cultural blend on the runway will be trend of the century; Bigger than 80’s hair, and as popular is denim.

Little Red, rides to runway---Flirty, fashionable, and functional, the little red hood is a fashion should. Dear to be Dearing, and feel fierce when your wearing, your little red hood.

With all the recent rain, a little red hood could come in handy. Instead of looking as bleak as the wolfy weather, here's a chance to brighten your day, and be fashion forward, even if you're puddle hopping, or just going shopping.

This Fairytale style will be a trend, rain or shine.

Go wild with style

Fur is in this season, and I'm all for Faux fur. But I found a picture of this to die for Leopard print made of Rabbit on Style.com, that might curb any girl's faux fur habits. I was never a big fan of animal print, (not including my stylized Zebra print jacket)...Leopard print always seemed too flashy and cheesy, but when it comes to sophistication, this leopard hits every spot.
